We are committed to nurturing our children by providing them with the care and learning experiences necessary to stimulate their interest in learning and to develop a balanced development of their moral, intellectual, social, and aesthetic development, so as to prepare them for life and to become active, lifelong learners with a sense of responsibility.
All teachers in the school have received recognized teacher training courses, and in addition to the importance of English learning, there are two foreign English teaching staff and Putonghua teachers every day, providing a perfect interactive learning environment for children, breaking down children’s fear of learning a foreign language, comprehensively improving children’s foreign language standards, and laying the foundation for biliteracy and trilingualism for young children.
Based on the framework of learning through experience, exploring through curiosity and growing through care, we have designed diversified activities in accordance with the directions of the pre-primary education curriculum guidelines, so that children can construct meaningful learning through observation, manipulation, reflection and application of tools, and acquire knowledge and experience in different domains and develop multiple intelligences in an all-round manner.
Themes and programs are the main teaching modes, and different learning methods such as experiential and mixed-age are adopted to enable children to gain personal knowledge and different learning experiences through physical actions and actual participation, and to utilize peer guidance and mutual imitation through interactions among different age groups.
Our school uses English, Putonghua and Cantonese as the teaching languages and specializes in specialized teaching. English activities are conducted by expatriate English teachers. From Monday to Friday, expatriate English teachers and local teachers conduct a variety of learning activities together to create a rich language environment. Putonghua is also integrated into our Physical Education program, where children learn under the guidance of professional kindergarten teachers who speak pure Putonghua, and master daily Putonghua language in a natural environment.
Adopting the Continuous Observational Assessment (COA) model, we have set up a profile of the child’s learning history to comprehensively assess the child’s development in various aspects.
Orientation Day, Freshman Orientation Week, P.1 simulation program, elementary school visits, and after-school interest classes.
In the full-day class meals and half-day class refreshments, children are provided with diversified and high quality ingredients, such as organic vegetables, cold-pressed juices…etc., together with less sweet, less salt and less oil, so that children can eat more healthily and feel more at ease.
Parent Volunteer Groups are set up to promote home-school liaison, to enable parents and teachers to discuss educational matters and give advice on school policies, so as to realize the potential of parents to assist in the development of school administration; seminars and workshops are arranged for parents to develop their potentials and to strengthen their abilities in nurturing their children, so that the young children can grow up in a better environment.
